Benson Anderson (Tim Price) is excited to be returning to Blank Canvas Theatre after a roughly 24-hour hiatus!  He recently performed as a member of The Fishmongers, the accompanying band for One Man, Two Guvnors at BCT.  Other recent credits include Theo/Ensemble in Cain Park’s production of School of Rock and Nino in Mercury Theatre Company’s production of Amélie.  He is a first grade Assistant Teacher at Hawken School and hopes that none of his students come see this show!  Thanks go out to the BCT crew, friends, family, and to all of you for supporting the arts in the Greater Cleveland Area!

 

 

Jessica Agnor Pringle (Mrs. Bateman/Svetlana/Mrs. Wolfe) is thrilled to return to Blank Canvas Theatre after appearing in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.  Jessica has appeared professionally at French Creek Theatre in Parade (Sally Slaton) and She Loves Me, and at and Lakeland Civic Theatre in A Little Night Music (Mrs Segstrom).  Favorite performances include How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Smitty)Songs for a New World (Woman 1)and Carrie: The Musical (Miss Gardner).  In her spare time, she enjoys baking, rowing, and reading. 

 

 

 

Brian Altman (Detective Donald Kimball/Lloyd/Homeless Man) is ecstatic to be a part of this Cleveland premiere musical!  He made his Blank Canvas Theatre debut in Bat Boy: the Musical (Dr. Parker) several years ago and has done many shows all over since then.  Some of his most-loved shows include Something Rotten (Brother Jeremiah), Forever Plaid (Smudge), Bent (Greta), and She Loves Me (Steven Kodaly).  Other favorites include Shrek the Musical (Lord Farquaad), Ragtime (Tateh), Silence! the Musical (Dr. Hannibal Lecter), and Little Miss Sunshine (Uncle Frank).  He and his partner of 22 years share their Fairview Park home with their beloved cat and a very old turtle.  He thanks you all for supporting live theater and the arts! 

 

 

 

Emma Beekman (Evelyn Williams) is overjoyed to be back at BCT and making art with old friends and new. Past BCT credits include The Wild Party (Nadine), the remount of Cabaret (Helga), and Spring Awakening (Ensemble/Swing).  She has spent the last 6 years living in Tampa, FL. During that time, she earned a BFA in Musical Theatre at The University of Tampa where she was seen in A Very Potter Musical(Draco Malfoy), Pirates of Penzance (Edith), and Baby (Arlene) in which Liz Calloway attended a performance. Other Tampa credits include Into the Woods (Cinderella), A Comedy of Tenors (u/s Mimi), Boeing, Boeing (u/s Gretchen, Gloria) and the regional premiere of All Bark No Bite (Bella). Many thanks to the cast and staff for everything that they do for live theater. Much love to her family and friends for all the love and support they give her. Enjoy the show! 

 

Nicole Coury (Vanden) is an M.S.S.A./M.B.A. student at Case Western Reserve University; she currently holds degrees in Theatre Arts and Psychology from CWRU.  Her favorite performance credits include I’m Alive … and Always Will Be (Lang) with Nightbloom Theatre Company, Private Eyes (Cory) with CWRU Department of Theatre, Aida (Ensemble/Fight Captain) at Karamu House, work with Masrah Al-Arabi Cleveland Ensemble at the Borderlight International Theatre Festival, Cry-Baby (Wanda Woodward), and of course every iteration of Bedroom Culture (Mia)!  She would like to thank all the teachers, friends, fellow artists, and family who have supported her.  Love always to Zach.

 

*Michael Glavan (Patrick Bateman) is an actor, director, and teaching artist, as well as fiance to the incredibly generous, the miraculously patient, and his forever weirdo, Jennie Nasser.  His New York City credits include The Three Sisters (Vershinin), American Hero (Paddy O’Brien), Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man (Stefan), Ethel (Tyler Roland), and ULTIMATE MAN! (Ultimate Man). Selected regional credits include Red (Ken), Little Shop of Horrors (Orin), Airness (D Vicious), Beauty and the Beast (Beast), Guys and Dolls (Sky Masterson), Kopit and Yeston’s Phantom (Eric/Phantom), and King Lear (Edmund).  He has directed productions of Joey and Ron (NYC), Richard III (Milwaukee), and Macbeth: Two Truths (NYC), as well as directing for the Marilyn Bianchi Kid’s Playwriting Festival (Dobama). Michael was also a writer, director, and actor for the monthly series Fast and Furious at The Tank NYC. His television work includes The Shahs of Sunset, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and advertisements for the Ohio Lottery.  Michael is also a prospective member of the actors’ studio collective The Green House. 

 

Brendan Junge (David Van Pattenis excited to be back on the Blank Canvas Theatre stage for American Psycho!  His recent credits include 42nd Street (Ensemble), The SpongeBob Musical (Plankton Stand-In), Legally Blonde (Kyle B. O’Boyle), Disney’s Newsies (Albert), How To Succeed…(Mr. Thackaberry), and Chicago (Ensemble).  He would like to thank the cast, crew, friends, family, and Sarah for all their love and support!

 

 

 

 

Reed Randall Kruger (Craig McDermott) is so excited to be a part of his first Blank Canvas Theatre production!  He is a recent graduate of Baldwin Wallace University with a degree in acting and directing and a minor in creative writing.  Some of his favorite credits include Marginalia: An Interplay With Edgar Allan Poe (Raven), Troilus and Cressida (Pandarus/Menelaus), Macbeth (Ross), The Learned Ladies (Ariste), and The Crucible (Thomas Putnam); he directed his own full-length play, Judge and Jury, at BW last February.  He'll never listen to Huey Lewis and the News the same way again.

 

 

 

 

Anita “Shrimp Cocktail” LoBosco (Christineis tickled to return to Blank Canvas Theatre to portray Christine in this production.  Her most recent credit was BCT’s production of The SpongeBob Musical (Buster Bluetang).  Away from BCT, Shrimp is Cleveland’s Queen of Comedy Burlesque and the owner/EP of the award-winning burlesque show, Shrimply the Best! Burlesque.

 

 

 

 

Rebekah Mallory (Courtney Lawrence) is excited and grateful for the opportunity to play Courtney in her first production with Blank Canvas Theatre.  Rebekah is a recent graduate of The Savannah College Art and Design, where she earned a B.F.A in Performing Arts.  She was most recently seen on stage in The Crucible (Mercy Lewis) at Avenue Arts Theatre back in 2021, so she’s very excited to finally be able to put her degree to good use.  She wants to thank her family for always being supportive of her endeavors and allowing her the space and tools to do what she loves most.

 

 

Maria VJ Matthews (Sabrina/Video Store Clerk) is very excited to make her official theatre debut in American Psycho.  Maria’s love for performing started at a young age, doing shows for family and friends, and developed through her graduation from the prestigious Cleveland School of the Arts as a theatre major.  Although she graduated in 2020 during the pandemic, she never let her love for live theatre and performing go away.  She is known to be unique, ecstatic, and unpredictable at times, and that’s what makes her fun!  She is SO ready for this new adventure that awaits!  Maria would like to thank her loved ones and her teachers (arts and otherwise) who helped her realize her passion and get to this moment -- and beyond.  She extends a special thank you to her parents that embrace her and her craziness, and to her “Lelo to her Riri,” who always knew her potential and has a special place in her heart always.

 

Jillian Mesaros (Victoria) is overjoyed to be on stage again at Blank Canvas Theatre.  Favorite theatre credits include Hair (Tribe), Les Miserables (Eponine), Laws of Affection: An Evening of Short PlaysUrinetown: The Musical (Little Becky Two Shoes), White Christmas (Rhoda), and High Fidelity. Pat Miller (Paul Owen) has appeared at Blank Canvas Theatre as Bat Boy in Bat Boy: The Musical, earning Best Actor in a Musical honors from the Cleveland Critics Circle and Cleveland SCENE Magazine. Other credits include Patsy in Monty Python’s SPAMALOT at Beck Center (Best Actor in a Musical, The News-Herald) and Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame at Near West Theatre.  On television, he has appeared as co-host of The Way We Shopped, The Ghosts of Christmas Eve, and NewsDepth: Buckeye Beat on Ideastream Public Media WVIZ.  Love to Tina, Henry, and Owen. trickmiller.com

 

 

Jennie Nasser (Jean) appears in her first show here at Blank Canvas Theatre.  She is elated to be playing Jean in American Psycho.  Some of her favorite roles include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Anna Maria (“Day by Day”) in Godspell), Sophie in Mamma Mia!), Annette in Saturday Night Fever, Maggie in A Chorus Line, and Kate McGowan in Titanic.  Her love goes out to MG.  Instagram: Jennienasser 

 

 

 

 

Zach Palumbo (Luis Carruthers) is American-psyched to be performing in his fourth consecutive show here at Blank Canvas Theatre!  Most recently, he appeared in The SpongeBob Musical (SpongeBob SquarePants) and One Man, Two Guvnors (vocals/guitar/bass/banjo for The Fishmongers).  Recent credits elsewhere include the world premiere of Millwood Outpost (Nick) at Playwrights Local, Assassins (Lee Harvey Oswald) at Lakeland Civic Theatre, and Broadway Bound (Eugene) at Beck Center.  He has also performed at Karamu House, Cleveland Public Theatre, Rubber City Theatre, convergence-continuum, none too fragile, and the BorderLight International Theatre Festival, among others.  Love to his family, friends, and Nicole. zachpalumbo.com

 

 

Sullivan Ratcliff (Sean Bateman) is thrilled to be a part of Blank Canvas Theatre's production of American Psycho, his first show here.  His previous roles include Moon in The Real Inspector Hound, Edgar in Nightfall, and a cowboy in Crazy for You. He would like to thank his best friend Lauren for her constant, begrudging support, and Maria DiDonato for all the time she has committed to helping him practice whenever he needs it.

Patrick Ciamacco (Director/ Lighting and Set Design) is so excited to be back and directing on the BCT stage and working with people he loves and respects!  Patrick is the Artistic Director and founder of Blank Canvas Theatre.  He dedicates this show to the person sitting in the third row, fifth seat from the left.

 

 

 

 

Matthew Dolan (Music Director) is an active music director, composer, arranger, and pianist in Northeast Ohio.  He has been acknowledged as one of the "Best Music Directors" of 2018 by Cleveland Scene Magazine, and also received a "Superior Achievement" acknowledgement from the Cleveland Critics Circle for his work on Avenue Q at Blank Canvas Theatre.  Recent credits include Urinetown : The Musical (Music Director, Oberlin College Theatre Department), Evil Dead - The Musical (Music Director, Blank Canvas Theatre), and the world premiere productions of 33 1/3 (Music Director, Dobama Theatre) and Light It Up! (Music Assistant/Keyboard 2, Cleveland Play House).  Later this year, he will serve as Music Director for the world premiere of The Land of Oz at Dobama Theatre.  Matthew earned both his Bachelor of Music in Music Theory and Composition and his Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Akron.  He serves as the current Director of Music for Rocky River United Methodist Church, while also accompanying for Cleveland Heights High School, and St. Ignatius High School. Matthew is an avid cyclist, longboarder, and lover of vintage keyboard instruments.  He loves Blank Canvas Theatre and is excited and honored to bring SpongeBob to its stage!  

 

Merrill Edleman (Sound Design) is 17 years old and has been doing sound design for a year.  His sound design work includes shows such as Bugsy Malone at Beck Center and, most recently, The SpongeBob Musical at Blank Canvas Theatre. He enjoys working both on and off stage.

 

 

 

Noah Hrbek (Projections) is super pumped to be creating wild imagery and projections for this production, and getting to collaborate with such a wonderfully talented group of people. The last time he participated at Blank Canvas Theatre, it was on stage as Cliff in Cabaret this past December/January. He has worked frequently with BCT both on and off stage, and looks forward to continuing this as often as possible. He also does graphic art for Near West Theatre, makes children’s book illustrations, and plays guitar for a rock musical project: Future Perfect. Whitney Miller (Stage Manager) is so excited to be back at Blank Canvas Theatre doing what she loves. Some of her favorite past shows include Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Stage Manager), Evil Dead – The Musical (Stage Manager), The Last Five Years (Lighting Designer), and Kiss of the Spider Woman (Stage Manager). Whitney attended Case Western Reserve University for Chemical Engineering, but spent most of her time with the CWRU Footlighters.  Now, you can mostly find her in the theatre, writing, or taking photos with Shiny Penny Studios.  She would like to thank Lemon for being so understanding with her busy schedule.  Here's to MANY more!

 

 

 

Bing Reising (Assistant Lighting Designer) is a neon glass bender and fine art photographer local to Cleveland.  After a few years absence from the Cleveland theater scene, Bing is extremely excited to be returning as an Assistant Lighting Designer here at Blank Canvas Theatre.  Past electrician credits include One Man, Two Guvnors, Aida, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Merrily We Roll Along, King Lear, and others.  Photons are kind of Bing’s thing.

 

 

Luke Scattergood (Costume Design) has worked on the Blank Canvas Theatre stage over these past ten years as an actor, costumer, stage manager, assistant director, and more.  He would like to thank Patrick for the opportunity to create and grow in such an inspiring atmosphere.  Thanks to his wife, Laura, and kids Lucy, Levi, and Lincoln for their love and support.  Enjoy the show!
