CAST
Leslie Andrews (Debbie) is excited to be returning to Blank Canvas and even more thrilled to be performing with her hubby! Past roles include Texas Chainsaw Musical (Gospel Nun) at Blank Canvas Theatre, Jerry Springer: The Opera (Zandra/Irene/Mary) and Xanadu (Calliope/Aphrodite) at Beck Center, Legally Blonde:The Musical (Paulette) at the Renaissance Theatre, and Girls Night: The Musical (Liza) at Playhouse Square. Ms. Andrews was a talent and swimsuit award winner as well as 1st runner-up to Miss Ohio. She holds a degree in voice from Cleveland State University where she studied under Elizabeth Unis Chesko. Leslie was a cheerleader in high school but quit so she could be in marching band, sacrificing her popularity for moments alone with her flute at band camp. Obviously, both of those factors helped her in preparation for this role. Leslie thanks her wonderful family for all of their support, especially the guy with the messed up face. Special thanks to Patrick, Lawrence, Nicci and the rest of this amazing cast and crew! Obeebum Ebee Bababoo!
Douglas Bailey (Greenfelt, Biddle & Kevin) is excited to be making his debut at Blank Canvas Theatre, and once again be working with Patrick Ciamacco and Nicci Cassara. His previous credits in Cleveland include The Producers (Brecksville Theatre on the Square), The Fantasticks, Spelling Bee and Big River (True North Cultural Arts), Forever Plaid (Cassidy Theatre), Into the Woods, Cats, Urinetown: The Musical, and Merrily We Roll Along (Near West Theatre). Douglas also recently made his directorial debut in Cleveland at TNCA with Children of Eden. Douglas is excited to work on Debbie Does Dallas with such an amazing cast and production team. He would like to thank his friends and family for their continued support and love, especially his roommates, Dan and Sarah. When not acting, Douglas spends his time entertaining his beautiful three-year old daughter, Matilda. He dedicates his performance in this production to his late father, “The Silver Fox”.
Tasha Brandt (Lisa) is excited to be a part of her first Blank Canvas production! She has been seen in Mercury Summerstock's production of CATS (Jennyanydots), Once Upon A Mattress (The Jester) and The Scarlet Pimpernel (Ensemble). She has been in numerous shows at Ashland University including The Crucible (Abigail Williams), The Spitfire Grill (Effie), Urinetown: The Musical (Hope) and several others along with MAME at Cassidy Theatre. Fierce love KRYstall, family, friends and to you... thanks for coming to see us do Debbie!
Ashley Conlon (Tammy) lives in Cleveland and works at a nearby College. She has appeared in various productions in the Cleveland/Akron area. Credits include The Ladies Man (Marie), And Then There Were None (Vera), and Mame (Ginny), among many others. She has her bachelor's degree in theatre and is currently pursuing her Master's in Education. In her spare time, Ashley is an avid, yet horrible player on her co-ed football league, but she believes that what she lacks in experience, she makes up for in enthusiasm! She owes a lot to her loved ones for supporting her passions. She has never been to Dallas, but she hears it is pretty family friendly.
Becca Frick (Roberta) is thrilled to be on the Blank Canvas stage! A Bay Village native, Becca is currently a student at Cleveland State University studying theater and non-profit administration. She spent last year serving with the AmeriCorps organization, City Year, here in Cleveland tutoring high school youth.
