Brian Altman (Dracula) is over the full moon to be back at Blank Canvas Theatre. He made his BCT debut years ago in Bat Boy: the Musical (Dr.Parker) and is excited to be seen in the windows with this incredible cast!  He's been involved in community theater for many years and never misses the chance to wear a Halloween costume.  His favorite theatrical credits include Into the Woods (The Baker), Ragtime (Tateh), Cabaret (Emcee), Silence! the Musical (Dr. Hannibal Lecter), and Shrek the Musical (Lord Farquaad).  Happy Halloween!  Wear a mask and VOTE! 

 

 

 

Leslie Andrews (Morticia) is morbidly gleeful to be returning to one of her favorite haunts, Blank Canvas Theatre, with such a talented cast and crew!  Favorite roles include those in City of Angels (Gabby/Bobbi), Young Frankenstein (Inga), Lend Me a Tenor (Diana), and Jerry Springer: The Opera (Zandra/Irene/Mary) at Beck Center; and Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical (Debbie), The Toxic Avenger (Nun/Mayor/Ma), and High Fidelity (Laura) at Blank Canvas Theatre.  Love and thanks to Patrick for bringing her along for this awesome ride.  She is forever grateful for the love and support of her family, especially the guy with the messed-up face. 

 

 

 

Ian Atwood (Jason) is a native of the St. Louis area who moved to Cleveland after receiving his B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Ohio Northern University.  Ian has had the pleasure of working at many professional and educational theatres in the area, but some favorite roles include Horton (Seussical), Robert (Company), Max (The Producers), Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street), and Carl-Magnus (A Little Night Music).  Ian is thrilled to be back at BCT where he previously performed in Working and as Sheriff McClelland in Night of the Living Dead.  Thank you for using your time and treasure to be with us tonight.  We need this as much as you do!  Much love to Jess, Neil, and Maggie.  To the journey!!  TPOG

 

 

Jessica Atwood (Kitty) is excited to become a part of the Blank Canvas Theatre family.  She is the Director of Drama at Fairview High School and, more importantly, Mom to Neil, Maggie, and new puppy, Ada.  Oh yeah, and she's also married to Ian.  Thanks to Patrick for being so understanding and working around the parenting schedule. 

 

 

 

Amiee Collier (Bride of Frankenstein) is so happy to see what kind of car you're driving while benefitting Blank Canvas Theatre.  You might have seen her inside the building in Bat Boy: The Musical (Meredith Parker), Equus (Hesther), Floyd Collins (Miss Jane), and Extremities (Patricia).  Favorite productions around Cleveland include Young Frankenstein (Frau Blucher) and Evil Dead - The Musical (Cheryl) at Beck Center for the Arts, Next to Normal (Diana) and Merrily We Roll Along (Mary) at Lakeland Civic Theatre, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (The Beggar Woman) at Cain Park, and Into the Woods (The Baker’s Wife) at Tri-C West.  By day, Amiee works at ideastream in the Content Department. amieecollier.com

 

Scott Esposito (Pennywise) is excited and grateful to be performing again and back at Blank Canvas Theatre!  Past credits at BCT include Kiss of the Spider Woman (Molina), Avenue Q (Rod), Hair (Claude), and 12 Angry Men (Juror #8).  Other favorite credits include Ragtime (Tateh) and Godspell (Judas/John the Baptist) at Cain Park; Parade (Leo Frank) at French Creek Theatre; both parts of Angels in America (Prior Walter) and The Normal Heart (Felix) at Ensemble Theatre; Lend Me a Tenor (Max), Jeffrey (Jeffrey) and Lord of the Flies (Jack) at Beck Center; and The Bridges of Madison County (Bud) and Assassins (John Wilkes Booth) at Lakeland Theatre.  Scott would like to thank Patrick for inviting him to be a part of something so fun and full of joy!  He would also like to thank his husband, Vince, for his continuous love and support.

 

Neely Gevaart (Carrie) is very excited and grateful to be back on stage anywhere, but particularly happy to be at Blank Canvas Theatre again.  She has worked both onstage and behind the scenes at this theater since the first show, The Texas Chainsaw Musical!  She would like to thank Patrick for his creativity and care in the midst of a pandemic.  She would also like thank her fiancé, Christopher, for helping her get through this crazy year.

 

Trey Gilpin (The Mummy) is honored by the opportunity to be here tonight for this very special event in this very special place.  Previous BCT credits include Avenue Q (Nicky), Urinetown: The Musical (Hot Blades Harry), Silence! The Musical (Dr. Chilton), Reefer Madness (Ralph), Hair (Woof), and 12 Angry Men (Juror #4).  Trey’s a Kentucky native who moved to northeast Ohio after working with the Roundabout Theatre Company in New York City.  As an adopted Clevelander, Trey’s performed at Cleveland Public Theatre, Cain Park, Ohio Shakespeare Festival, Ensemble Theatre, Mercury Theatre Company, and more.  Favorite shows include The Drowsy Chaperone (Aldolpho), Merrily We Roll Along (Charley), The Importance of Being Earnest (Algernon), The Last Five Years (Jamie), and Matilda The Musical (Miss Trunchbull).  Many, many thanks to Patrick and this amazing team for all their hard work in keeping the arts alive (or at least ...UNDEAD! OoOoOooo…) 

 

Katie Gucik (Samara) is pumped to be performing for a live audience again at Blank Canvas Theatre!  She has previously been seen on the BCT stage in Avenue Q (Lucy T. Slut.)  Other recent credits include Crazy for You (Mother/Patricia Fodor) with San Diego Musical Theater, Lend Me A Tenor the Musical (Young Maria), Mamma Mia (Ensemble/ Donna US), and Freaky Friday (Ensemble/ Katherine US) at the Pacific Conservatory Theatre.  Most recently she was performing with the Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville in Oceano, CA.  Katie recently moved to Los Angeles but is very happy to be back in Ohio with family at this time.  She is looking forward to seeing how theater evolves after COVID 19, and hopes to collaborate with more artists that have the dream to use their art for social justice. katiegucik.com

 

 

Zach Palumbo (Chucky) is so glad to be back at Blank Canvas Theatre with so many great artists in what he firmly believes to be the coolest version of live quarantine theatre yet invented.  Previous BCT credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Jacek),  Evil Dead - The Musical (Ed), and Yippee Ki-Yay Merry Christmas: A Die Hard Musical Parody (Willis). He has also performed around Northeast Ohio at theatres including Cleveland Public Theatre, none too fragile, convergence-continuum, BorderLight CLE, Rubber City Theatre, Near West Theatre, French Creek Theatre, and Western Reserve Playhouse.  Currently, he is playing Jim in Karamu House's ongoing Freedom After Juneteenth web series.  He laughed when he learned that he would play Chucky because he immediately understood how short he would look standing in the windows next to everyone else. https://zach.palumbo.io

 

 

Patrick Ciamacco (Director/Lighting Design) is thrilled to be working with so many talented and amazing people!  Without them --  and YOU -- this place would not exist.  Patrick is the Artistic Director and founder of Blank Canvas Theatre.  This has been one of the roughest years… but theatre and everyone involved in this show help make each day a bit better.

 

 

 

 

Richard B. Ingraham (Sound Designer) Richard is excited to be back for another drive-in concert at Blank Canvas.  A freelance Sound Designer and AV Systems Designer, Richard has worked at numerous theatres, schools and attractions in the Cleveland area and throughout the US including:  Ashland University, Beck Center for the Arts, Baldwin–Wallace University, Cain Park, Carnegie-Mellon University,  Chagrin Falls Performing Arts Academy, The Cleveland Play House, The Cleveland Public Theatre, Cleveland State University, Dobama Theatre, The University of Evansville, Great Lakes Theater, Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, The Jewish Community Center of Cleveland, Oberlin College, Playhouse Square Center, and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.  He has also worked as a consultant to award winning software companies that create products for live event production including Stage Research and Richmond Sound Design.  Thank you to everyone for your support of live performance and of all the artists that make it happen.

 

Luke Scattergood (Production Assistant) Is excited to be back at his theater home, where he has been involved both on- and off-stage since the doors opened.  Recently, he has been spending a lot of time at home, Bing-watching Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime...well, you get the idea.  Thanks to Patrick for this opportunity to get the creative juices flowing again, and to his family for all their love and support.  Stay safe and enjoy the show! 

 

 

 

 

 

Jenniver Sparano (Costume Designer) returns for another Halloween at Blank Canvas Theatre; her previous BCT designs include Night of the Living Dead, Bat Boy: The Musical, Silence! The Musical, and the show that started it all, The Texas Chainsaw Musical!  In pre-pandemic times, her work was also seen at Beck Center, Clague Playhouse, Cleveland Public Theatre, Dobama Theatre, Ensemble Theatre,  Pickwick & Frolic, the Rocket Mortgage Field House, and in the annual AIDS benefit musical production at Cassidy Theatre and Weathervane Playhouse. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Mount Holyoke College, she also studied in Paris and is employed by KeyBank. 

 

 

 

P.J. Toomey (Make-up Designer) has designed make-up and special effects for a variety of theatrical productions, independent films, and other events in Northeast Ohio.  At Blank Canvas Theatre, he has created effects for The Texas Chainsaw Musical!, Evil Dead – The Musical, Bat Boy: The Musical, Night of the Living Dead and The Toxic Avenger.  Elsewhere, his credits include Evil Dead – The Musical, Beauty and The Beast, Young Frankenstein, and Jerry Springer: The Opera (Beck Center), Shrek The Musical (Beck Center, Mercury Theatre Company), and The Toxic Avenger (Cain Park).   He thanks his family and friends for putting up with his ridiculous ideas (you know who you are).

 

Tom West (Asst. Technical Director/Lighting) holds a B.F.A. from Ohio University (2006) and M.F.A. from Kent State University (2016) and Is very excited to be helping out at Blank Canvas Theatre.  Tom has worked in technical theater for over 20 years, starting in Cleveland with Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, Beck Center and Great Lakes Theater.  Internationally, he has installed lighting for Bodies: The Exhibition with Primer Exhibitions, and in the NYC area worked with Bently Meeker, The Lighting Syndicate, Playwrights Horizons, Barrow Street Theatre, and New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, as well as on Fela! The Musical (Electrics/Spot).  More recently, Tom has been working in Northeast Ohio with Geauga Lyric Theater Guild, Brecksville Theater on the Square, Cleveland Public Theatre, Porthouse Theater, Near West Theatre, Lake Erie College, OYES, and Hathaway Brown Theatre Institute, and has served as Technical Director at Western Reserve Academy.  Tom’s day job is, per usual, filling multiple roles as Drafter/Designer/Producer at InVision Communications, an engagement solutions agency.

 

Ryan Wolf (Stage Manager) is excited to be working with Blank Canvas! Realtor by day and stage manager by night, he is happy to be collaborating and creating theater again. Huge shout out to his wife Bailey for her never-ending love and support. Stay safe, stay healthy, and enjoy the show!
