Bradley Michael Arner (Provoloney) is very excited to be making his Cleveland debut for Blank Canvas Theatre. For the past two years he has been trying his hand in local films such as Chill (Jared) and Dark of Moon (Zeke). Among his favorite roles in theatre: Macbeth (Macduff), Coranado (Billy’s Father) and Romeo and Juliet (Friar Laurence, Lord Capulet). In addition to theatre Brad can be seen on stage doing improv and stand-up comedy. Having worked at Second City Chicago and finishing as a finalist in the Funny Stop’s “Ohio’s Best Amateur Comedian” contest.
Douglas F. Bailey II (Kanaka) is elated to be returning to the stage at Blank Canvas Theatre, and once again be working with director Patrick Ciamacco. His past credits include Oklahoma! (Mighty Goliath Productions), Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical (Blank Canvas), The Producers (Brecksville Theatre on the Square), The Fantasticks, Spelling Bee and Big River (True North Cultural Arts), Forever Plaid (Cassidy Theatre), Into the Woods, Cats, Urinetown: The Musical, and Merrily We Roll Along (Near West Theatre). Douglas also recently made his directorial debut in Cleveland at TNCA with Children of Eden. Douglas is excited to work on Psycho Beach Party with such an amazing cast and production team. He would like to thank his friends and family for their continued support and love, especially his roommates, Dan and Sarah. When not acting, Douglas spends his time entertaining his beautiful three-year old daughter, Matilda. He dedicates his performance in this production to his late father, “The Silver Fox”.
Elicia J. Bryant (Marvel Ann) This production marks Elicia’s debut at Blank Canvas Theatre and she is absolutely thrilled to work with this talented group of performers. She is grateful to have had the opportunity to perform in over 20 productions throughout Northeast Ohio as well as her home state, South Carolina. Recent credits include the title role in Cinderella, Oliver (Nancy), Bunnicula (Mrs. Monroe), and Dr. Dolittle (Gub Gub). Her favorite memories are from the following productions: A Broadway Christmas Carol (Woman Who Also Isn’t Scrooge), Musical of Musicals, the Musical (Jeune/Junita/June), Once Upon A Mattress (Sleeping Beauty), Nunsense (Amnesia), and Urinetown (Little Sally). Troy Bruchwalski (Star Cat) recently received his Bachelor of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music where he studied vocal performance/opera. Mr. Bruchwalski, has received many accolades for his voice, including talent based scholarships from Tuesday Musical Club, Old School House Players, and the Cleveland Institute of Music and high rankings in several competitions including Buckeye State NATS, Civic Light Opera Academy (recital finalist), and Classical Singer Magazine where Troy won the regional competition and moved on to compete at the national convention in New York City. At CIM, Troy has performed in Trial by Jury (Foreman), La Traviata (Marchese d’Obigny), Utopia, Limited (Phantis), and Cendrillon (The Herald). Troy’s favorite roles in musical theatre and spoken theatre include History Boys (Rudge), Stanton’s Garage (Harlon), and Bye Bye Birdie (Albert Peterson). Mr. Bruchwalski’s professional credits include: Anyone Can Whistle (John) at Lakeland Civic Theater, Tecumseh! (Major Sanders) with the Scioto Society, the world premiere of the opera Job (Zophar), and The Magic Flute (Papageno) at Talespinner Children’s Theater. Troy is happy to be making his debut with Blank Canvas Theatre in this production!
Jordan Cooper (Mrs. Forrest) is thrilled to be returning to BCT. Jordan brings to the table over twenty years of classical piano training and experience musical directing all over the east coast. He was most recently seen onstage as Edna Turnblad in NWT's summer production of Hairspray. He is incredibly proud to make the Cleveland theater community his home. Favorite recent music direction credits include: Altar Boyz; You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, ...Spelling Bee (True North Cultural Arts); West Side Story, Assassins, A Year With Frog and Toad, Nunsense!, Blood Brothers, A Night With Rodgers & Hammerstein (Cassidy Theatre). The Secret Garden, Into the Woods, Miss Saigon, Ragtime, (Near West Theatre) Sideshow, The Producers (Firestone Theatre); The Texas Chainsaw Musical (Blank Canvas Theatre). Joey Dienes (Nicky) is extremely excited to be making his Blank Canvas debut. A graduate from Hiram College, he has most recently be seen in Arsenic and Old Lace (Officer Klein). Joey can also be found working backstage at the Beck Center and Cleveland Playhouse. Other recent credits include Tartuffe (Cleante), The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Judas), and Cloud Nine (Joshua/Gerry). Joey will be seen next in Beck Center’s production of House of Blue Leaves (MP).
Brittany Gaul (Berdine) recently graduated from Cleveland State University where she studied acting, voice, and movement, Suzuki and Meisner. Her past favorite shows include: Marble Cities (Actress), Kid Mystery (Ms. Grape), Human Behavior (Earth), No Exit (Inez), and Metamorphoses (Therapist/Ensemble). Off stage Brittany is the movement teacher at Talespinner Children’s Theatre and a teaching artist for Drama Smarts. She would like to thank Patrick for this incredible opportunity. Brittany is pleased to be a part of such a talented cast. She would like to thank her family for their continual love and support through her artist endeavors. Much love to CH.
Sarah Maria Hess (Chicklet) is excited to make her Blank Canvas debut in this production. She recently moved back to Cleveland after a stint in Chicago, where she studied at the iO Chicago Theatre. She co-founded and performed for 3 years with Ohio University's premiere long-form improv troupe, Black Sheep, Inc. Sarah recently completed her fifth season as a performer at Kringle's Inventionasium. Recent credits include Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Matt and Ben (Matt Damon), Into the Woods (Little Red Ridinghood) and House of Yes (Mrs. Pascal). Jordan Renee Malin (Bettina Barnes) is beyond thrilled to return to Blank Canvas after a 'banana-blowing" good time, as Donna in Debbie Does Dallas the Musical. As a huge "Beach Blanket Bingo", "Gidget" fan and psycho herself, she hopes you enjoy this Beach party as much as she does. She has performed in various productions throughout NE Ohio, including The Beck Center, Karamu House, Cleveland Public Theater, Cleveland Play House, True North, Rabbit Run and Cassidy. Some of her favorite roles include, Chicago (Roxie Hart), Gypsy (Louise), and A Chorus Line (Diana Morales). Jordan wishes to thank the cast and crew for making this experience professional, stress-free and splendiforious! She also encourages anyone who enjoys this production or any production here, to continue to support and donate!
