Texas Chainsaw Musical ~ Audience Reviews

Had an absolute blast with this show. The cast, and the team make it very easy to enjoy the show, the vocals and music were quite impressive, and the acting made it easy to be immersed in the story.

Easily would have paid twice the amount I did for this show!

Was initially surprised by the location and honestly a little worried about the show when I saw the size of the stage, etc. My concerns were quickly put to rest as the show and cast were exceptional! Very talented cast and crew and I was not disappointed in my first experience at the theatre. Will definitely return!

The show was excellent. My friends and I totally loved it, especially the bucket of blood. Also super impressed with the director and how helpful and accommodating he was with juggling days and tickets :)

This show was outstanding! I like that the show was in an intimate setting. The singing was fabulous. Perfect bartender for this show and the picture of Jesus was a nice touch.

My wife and I came out to the show on Feb. 11th and had an absolute blast. The intimate feeling of theater was great and we laughed the entire time. I like the idea of the splash zone, but we were certainly glad we didn't catch the bucket of blood! We would definitely come back for another show and we've told many friends and coworkers about it.

We really enjoyed this show! It was my first comedy- horror type of theater and I was very impressed with it. I also loved the intimate feel of the Blank Canvas Theater, nice to be able to be so close to all of the action. Great job to all of the cast!! I will definitely be back for another show.

What a HOOT! We had a group of 6 and we all laughed so much that we all hurt after the show. All of us remarked that we hadn't laughed and had such a good time at a show in a long time. When we told all our friends about the show, they only wished that they had gone. The setting was exactly right for a play such as this and the actors were perfect for the parts. I wish I would have seen the show earlier in the run so I could have gotten another group together to see it. BRING IT BACK!!!! Could become a cult classic. Loved every second of it. Gave a new meaning and appreciation to my own chainsaw.

What a great evening! The whole experience was just creative, fun theater! I appreciated the comments in the playbill ahead of time leading us to expect the goofy genre, and appreciate the level of commitment the cast and crew brought to the production. The cast was made up of exceptionally strong characters -- and the crew was so professional! We loved the theater, the production, and the spirit that pervades your space. Oh - and the 4 of us agreed it was too much fake blood from the can on the ceiling to fall on just 1 person. He was soaked and we all felt sorry for him, which distracted us a bit. But it wasn't us, so really no big deal. We just got a little collateral splash.

Thanks for a great evening of great theater!!

Best play I've seen in awhile, laughed threw the whole play. Great singers and actors. Looking forward to seeing more.

We are still talking (and laughing) about the show! It was hilarious! What a talented cast....the actors were all great. At times the band was a little loud and made it hard to hear the lyrics (mostly Lucretia) but really, no complaints. Seems like a great space...truly a blank canvas. You will be able to do a lot of different things with it. Enjoyed the art work on the way in, too. All in all, over the top sick humor. Just what I love!!!Thanks for a great evening.

Saw the show Friday, Feb 10. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the show and are still talking about it. Great talent, staging, music and acting. I can't wait to see "Of Mice and Men." Great Job Pat and the entire crew!

Pat Ciamacco's work has impressed me for years, whether he be acting, writing or directing. So I was extremely excited to come out for Blank Canvas's premier show. That being said, his production exceeded all my expectations. I knew there would be laughs, what caught me off guard was their commitment to emotional depth. I was unable to watch at times, and it certainly wasn't for the gore factor. Sympathizing with psychotic characters, or at least watching such honest portrayal of horror, has left me disturbed and sleepless for two nights now after seeing the show! As uncomfortable as it made me at times, I hope this is the highest compliment that can be given. Kudos for taking it on and doing it right. I'll be back for the next one.

Incredibly talented cast! Fabulous singing, acting... Kudos to the crew-the cleanup must have been WAY beyond the call of duty.
Didn't know what to expect but truly enjoyed the show and loved the intimate venue. Can't wait for the next show. Blank Canvas is a great addition to the Cleveland theater scene.

I'll take any chance I can get to get inside of the 78th St. Studios. Love the building, love the venue, love the Blank Canvas performance space.

The "Texas Chainsaw Musical!" was a Bloody Good Time! An original opening show, a great performance group...

Hope to be in attendance at future events!

Loved the play! It was so entertaining and a perfect way to spend my Friday night. I sat in the "splash zone" which was more like a "soak zone" and was covered in fake blood by the time I left -- RIDICULIUS AND AMAZING.

It was my first time at the theater and it seems that there is not a bad seat in the house, I only wish I wasn't as close to my neighbors. Can't wait to go back and see more shows this season!

Went Friday, Feb 10. Really enjoyed the show. It was very entertaining and the cast members did a great job with the signing. My expectations were just to see something funny and ridiculous, but I was impressed with the talent of the crew. A word of warning though, get there early or prepare to get hit with the fake blood.

Saw the show opening weekend and was blown away. The cast was spot on and the songs are incredible. Would love to get my hands on a soundtrack. Was going to see it again the last weekend but it sold out and rightly so. Truly a brilliant production.
