Texas Chainsaw Musical ~ Audience Reviews

Truly a great time! I laughed, I cried, I got sprayed with copious amounts of fake blood...

Seriously though the show exceeded all of my expectations and I thought the songs were really inventive and funny. Most musicals have a pretty slow/ Boring song but I never felt that way! The cast was excellent with some amazing pipes! Worth twice the $$.

I think this was a great first show in the new space. It's always refreshing to see a talented group of individuals perform a new piece of work under a good direction. Personally, I was surprised at the production value of the show because of the inherent cheesy nature to these types of stories. You played to those points when necessary and pulled back when it was not appropriate. Obviously there are some issues (sound balancing, etc) but it was a great experience. I would've like a ticket for my Texas Chainsaw memorabilia scrapbook though.

I left with a smile.

I thought the musical was funny, slick and very enjoyable. Sat in the splash zone but didn't really get hit at all. That was okay! The singers were all marvelous and some were a real standout. Steve was amazing as the slightly naive lovesick young man and the nun was very comical with an outstanding voice in the one bluesy number. Of course Lucretia had a powerful voice and Eddy G was properly creepy. All of the cast performed their parts equally well and it was hard to pick out any one person as the best because they kept changing characters and amused me with each one. This review would take forever to comment on how great they all were, so all I can say is see it because it's not what you are imagining, it's so much more and alot funnier than you would think. Great production guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The band was great as well.

Show was great fun got splashed even though I hadn't planned to be (sat out of the zone but it came over the wall). Saw it twice and enjoyed both but the second time I could hear much more of the lyrics. Band needs to still tone it down a notch or two. Thought the nun was fantastic, even better than Lucretia although she was great as well. Cast was professional and talented. Good production. Looking forward to more.

LOVED IT!!! Excellent show. Very entertaining. Singing and acting were exceptional. Special shout out to Perrin, his singing and comic timing made the show very enjoyable. Loved the intimate setting, felt as if we were part of the show. Looking forward to seeing other shows. Good luck going forward.

The show was excellent! The comedic timing was brilliant. The band had a tendency to over power the vocals on some numbers but largely balance was excellent! I thought the gore was fantastic, almost as good as watching audience members freak out was they were splattered! Great job!!!

Didn't quite know what to expect so was very pleasantly surpised by the cozy theater and welcoming staff. The actors were very professional. The show was funny and gory at the same time. Loved the special effects, however we sat out of the splash zone. Hope to see many more production at this new venue. Judy

I had a great time at the show! The actors were great and I loved the small theatre setting. The band was a bit too loud, probably because I was seated near them, so I had a hard time hearing the words to a few of the faster songs. That's easily fixed though. I'll definitely be back for more shows. Hope this helps!

Sound quality very good. Scene transitions done very well. The actors very well prepared and excellent, the streams of blood like a hose, a little too much. Splashing, misting and slashing blood perfect. Had fun as the show moved along very well. Take care and good luck with your new theater. Mike
